At Peace Heating And Air Conditioning, we’re honored to serve those who served this country. This time around, we’re proud to have installed a new system for a three-time Vietnam veteran!
The project came with some unique challenges. The house, which is over a century old, featured an existing HVAC unit that had been improperly installed. To correct this, we initiated a complete redesign and overhaul of the ductwork in order to accommodate the new unit and ensure it worked at peak efficiency.
Because of some quirks in the original construction, we had to make some changes in the initial plan of attack. We had planned for a vertical installation, where the air within the unit is moved vertically either upward or downward, which is more energy-efficient and designed for the space in which we were working. However, due to space constraints and construction limitations, we were forced to pivot to a horizontal installation, which moves the air laterally through the system and is primarily intended for HVAC systems installed in garages or basements. Making matters even more interesting, a water main burst during the project, leaving us working in three inches of water!
Despite the difficulties and challenges of retrofitting the new installation to accommodate a modern, efficient system, we managed to get the job done. The customer now has a new Goodman 16 seer 3-ton AC and furnace unit which should keep him comfortable no matter what the weather outside does for years to come. To help alleviate the need for our customers to have to change air filters, we included a free Merv filter system. This is important because his old system required him to go into a crawlspace and swap out the filter every three months. The Merv filter system only requires changing twice a year, which Peace Heating And Air Conditioning will be taking care of on our semi-annual spring and fall maintenance visits. It’s our way of helping out our friends and neighbors and showing our appreciation to our veterans.
During the construction, the customer remarked several times about Peace Heating And Air Conditioning’s responsiveness and branding.
